2015 marks a year of industry recognition and awards, successful developments in the GTA and beyond with no signs of slowing down
2015 has been a year of significant milestones for Empire Communities.
This year, Empire Communities built 1,000 new condominiums and lowrise homes stretching from Southwestern Ontario to the GTA, launched a corporate rebrand and was named the 2015 Ontario Home Builder of the Year by the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA). What makes this year’s achievements especially meaningful are the 1000+ homeowners who put their trust in Empire to build their dream home and who have helped the company get to where it is today.
“We’re incredibly proud to have been named the Ontario Home Builder of the Year by the OHBA,” says Daniel Guizzetti, co-founder, CEO and president, Empire Communities. “This speaks to our commitment of building inspiring homes and neighbourhoods of enduring value. We have built our reputation on our core values of caring, optimism and trust, which are a reflection of our corporate responsibility initiatives and exceptional customer-service experience.”
As one of the top builders of master-planned communities in the province, Empire has built more than 10,000 single family and highrise homes across Southwestern Ontario and the GTA over the past 20 years. The company has received nearly 100 domestic and international awards for design, marketing and sales excellence.
Empire is the largest ENERGY STAR homebuilder in Southwestern Ontario and one of the first to offer ENERGY STAR certification as a standard for all its single family homes. This commitment to building energy efficient homes has resulted in the Green Builder of the Year Award from the Hamilton Halton Home Builders’ Association, Waterloo Region Home Builders’ Association, Niagara Home Builders’ Association and BILD (Building Industry and Land Development Association).
2015 was also significant for Empire, marking 20 years in the business with a corporate rebrand. The rebranding efforts concentrated not only on the evolution of the corporate logo and masterbrand strategy but also the internal mission, vision and core values that guide the team day in and day out to offer a best in class experience from the time of sale to the day new owners close on their dream home. Central to Empire’s philosophy is the role they play in the communities they build. Empire employees are active volunteers throughout the province and have participated in several fundraising initiatives, including Habitat for Humanity; $250,000 sponsorship to Brantford’s Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre; $33,000 to David Hornell Jr. School for an outdoor classroom and $40,000 to the Brantford Home Builders’ Association (BHBA) Annual Luncheon.
Much of Empire’s recent growth has been in Southwestern Ontario where the company initially put down roots. Wyndfield, Empire’s community in Brantford was proud to hit 2000 homes sold this year. Empire’s master-planned Niagara community, Imagine was going strong with new phases launched including new home designs and a new Presentation Centre — the Imagine Centre — featuring four stunning new model homes along the popular model home row. With four new models to choose, homebuyers could easily touch, experience and fall in love with their new dream home.
Always proud of the community in Uxbridge, the Estates of Wyndance offers the best in elegance and luxury. Already designed to the highest standard, homes at Wyndance come complete with a top-of-the-line appliance package from Wolf/Sub-Zero/Asko, solid panel doors, main floor 10-foot ceiling and much more. For a limited time you can take advantage of a $50,000 Decor Bonus to put towards creating the home of your dreams.
Empire’s successful Eau Du Soleil community — also recognized at the 2015 Awards of Distinction — is one of Toronto’s most iconic waterfront condominiums. Construction has already begun on Eau Du Soleil and has solidified Empire’s strong commitment to the Humber Bay Shores community. As one of Canada’s tallest waterfront condos, Eau Du Soleil will be comprised of two luxury towers rising approximately 700 feet.
Its resort-inspired amenities include the seventh Floor Infinity Terrace with a bar, lounge seating, cabanas, barbecue and fire pit overlooking the lake. Residents can take in stunning views in the Sky Lounge or Water Lounge, the party room and landscaped Outdoor Garden.
For wellness enthusiasts, spa-inspired amenities boast an indoor salt-water pool and whirlpool with floor to ceiling outdoor views, professionally-equipped exercise room, CrossFit training zone, yoga and pilates studio, a spin room, mixed martial arts room and an outdoor multi-purpose sports court.
This year, the Mike Holmes team approached Empire to join their exclusive HOLMES Approved Homes program and collaborated with them to reinforce Empire’s high-level of homebuilding standards across all of their lowrise communities.
Lastly, 2015 also saw Empire spread its wings south of the border with expansion into the United States, specifically Texas. In addition, Empire announced continued growth in Ontario with enough land to accommodate 20,000 new single family and high-rise homes.
What’s next for Empire? Growth will be a continued commitment in Southwestern Ontario with an emphasis towards green living and affordable luxury living. Next year will also mark the entry of Empire into Toronto’s upscale Yorkville neighbourhood. Regardless of the community and home styles being built, Empire promises to create inspiring new places to live. By being pioneers in the industry, by giving their customers more and by caring for the world around them.
